Over the past couple of months I have been slowly and intentionally working on a new collection of weavings dedicated to the elementals which I often refer to as the first four ancestors.

Earth, Air, Fire and Water are all fundamental to our well being and survival on this beautiful planet we call home.

Our bodies are made up of these elementals and when we die our bodies return to them as we go back to the earth.

As I sat with not just a colour palette dedicated to these beautiful ancestors I also wanted to channel the movement and play within each so those who wear these creations also can move and play, catching the trail of their essence as they cloak themselves in these weavings.

Once I was complete with the elemental aspects the forest also wanted to be added, as I really deliberated when creating the earth element if I would go with the greens of the earth/forest or the actual soil of the earth, as a result both wanted to come into being.

This Forest shawl contains all the aspects of the verdant green forest, along with some of the white of the beautiful birch tree and some reds as a nod to rowan berries,  hawthorn berries, holly berries and of course the autumn leaves in fall…

This shawl comes with a shawl pin and is 95″ long including tassels.
